Neutralizing Allergies Naturally
Dr. Uri Kenig
December 2010

Abstract
Allergies are excessive reactions of the immune system to harmless foods like wheat, eggs, shellfish, berries and other foods, animals, grass, ragweed, pollen, chemicals and synthetics like latex, perfumes and more. Allergic reactions include symptoms like irritable eyes, sneezing, skin rashes, headaches, breathing difficulties, hay fever, inflammation, headaches, and many more. The reactions are strong and immediate.
What is the reason for all these reactions? The immune system reacts in "false alarm" towards neutral agents, as if they were “invaders” like viruses, and bacteria, and tries to fight it.
Conventional medicine offers a line of medications like anti histamines and steroids targeted at alleviating the allergy symptoms. These medications can often have strong side effects. In other cases, it is necessary to avoid the allergen altogether, which can be difficult to do.
Holistic medicine, on the other hand, takes a different approach to the matter. It aims to bring the body back to balance by reprogramming the immune system response to the allergen so it won’t affect the body negatively.
How do allergies develop in the first place?  From a holistic point of view, the allergens are perceived by the brain as a threat to the body. In many cases, negative emotions, and/or traumatic situations activate the immune system via the nervous system.  The body holds the memory of the negative emotion along with foods or other substances present at the time in the immediate environment. These memories are coded in the immune system memory and triggered every time the person is exposed to the specific agents or situations. This creates symptoms and blocks the flow of energy along the bodies' systems. The energy blockage obstructs the communication between the brain and body and it affects organ functioning and general well being.

IPEC Therapy® method introduces a non-invasive, drug free, natural solution to neutralize allergies. The treatment goes beyond easing the symptoms. It helps the body get rid of the allergy altogether. It utilizes knowledge and procedures from body/mind therapy, Energy therapy and Oriental Medicine to reprogram the body memory to respond to the allergen as safe. Consequently, the immune system is not triggered to respond adversely, and the allergic reaction does not take place.

IPEC Therapy® method utilizes the muscular biofeedback system within the body to quickly identify the allergen and what triggers it. Effective Holistic interventions are applied to allow the body to respond neutrally towards the friendly materials, and as a result, the allergy and its symptoms are gone.

Introduction
Many experience the exhausting allergy symptoms a few times a year during seasonal changes of or all year round when they touch or ingest allergenic substances. Endless sneezing, runny nose, watery and/or dry eyes, and/or burning skin rashes, wheezing, headaches and stomachaches, strange pains and more can be a partial list of symptoms formed during an allergy attack.
Pharmacies carry a multitude of medications to deal with the variety of symptoms, some of which are prescribed and others sold over the counter. In reality, conventional medicine deals with allergies in two ways:
1. The use of a variety of medications to counter the effect of the strong hormone, Histamine. This hormone secretes into the blood stream, and operates in the service of the immune system in order to fight an invader which is threatening the body. When the invader is a virus, bacteria, parasite, or fungus, the immune system's activity is essential for maintaining vitality and for survival. The immune system attacks the invaders while creating symptoms of fluids flooding the system, internal inflammations, breathing distress and others that may feel like flu symptoms and more, in order to eliminate the invader from the body.
2. Skin testing: an MD lightly scratches the skin, and introduces into the surface substances that are tested for allergies. A response of swelling or redness in the scratched area confirms allergy to this specific substance. The person then faces two alternatives: a. avoiding these substances during daily life or b. going through a gradual exposure to the protein in the allergen, in an attempt to desensitize the allergic reaction over time.
However, what if the “invader” is actually a friendly nutrient, such as eggs, fish, bread, grains, sugar?  or what if the “invader” comes from a pet or from the blooming of plants /plant pollen , or maybe from furniture, metals, plastic products, cloths, cleaning agents, chemicals and many more? When a harsh reaction of the body occurs because of ingesting/touching these materials, this is an allergic condition. The body identifies friendly materials and nutrients as bad “invaders” and activates the multitude of components of the immune system in order to expel the “invaders”. However, this is an error. The body - the immune system – has decided that a certain friendly material is not actually that friendly, and practically it is detrimental to the body’s survival, so, it is crucial to rid the body of this material. In many cases, this error originates in early childhood.
I will explain in this article the reasons for allergy formation and the simple yet profound way to rid the body of almost any allergy, quickly, in a non-invasive natural method, without medication and/or food supplements, or endless probing into the past. Thanks to this method, it is not necessary to use antihistamines and endure the side-effects that come with its use.
Furthermore, the avoidance of allergens, which makes daily uncomfortable and restrictive  becomes unnecessary.
In 1991, I learnt for the first time the idea that the basis for the formation of almost all allergies is psychological. Being a psychotherapist by vocation, I soon realized how inter-related the connection between body and mind is. I became very intrigued by this topic. It triggered me for a personal reason as well. I had suffered all my life from a severe allergy to all kinds of fish. I found out a new door had opened for me, allowing me to eat fish, without suffering the severe symptoms I had of a swollen throat, a danger of  suffocation and itchy and burning skin rashes. The more I explored this subject, the more I discovered knowledge from diverse modalities of natural healing that led me to develop my own therapeutic approach. In 1995, I laid down the theoretical and practical basis for a therapy method that integrates body and mind, that helps to assess and treat a variety of body ailments that are associated with  emotional/psychological difficulties. Within the next two years I treated tens of clients who had suffered from all kinds of allergies, and in most cases, the allergies were completely disappeared. In 1997, I named this therapeutic approach IPEC Therapy® (Integrated Physical Emotional Clearing®). Since then, I have been treating a wide range of allergy cases, psychosomatic disorders along with traditional psychodynamic psychotherapy, in my clinic in Encino California. Needless to say, I am pleased to report that for years now I have been eating and enjoying all kinds of fish.

Holistic approach to Allergy
IPEC Therapy® holds the basic belief that the human body, including its multitude of cells, remembers its entire history in details from the moment of its conception, using the immune system's ability to remember this detailed history. The immune system bases its operation on memory; any invader and toxin that the body meets since its conception, carries a unique energetic code, which the immune system remembers. When the person comes into contact with these invaders/toxins years later, the immune system remembers them again and attacks them with its entire means in order to preserve the person's survival. This is the conceptual idea behind the theory of immunizing children against a variety of diseases.
Allergies are formed based on emotional process during the first few years of life. The newborn is lacking language to express himself/herself and owns limited amounts of time and space. Simple events can be experienced as threatening for the baby, even though the adult in the environment sees no reason for a threat. As any organic creature, the baby is equipped with an ability to protect his survival, and threatening conditions activate this survival mode. This mode works side by side with the immune system, hence, with the memory system. The baby perceives a threatening situation as a self-weakness when facing a situation or a substance. The baby registers this experience in his memory and instantly changes his psychology from a relaxation mode to a survival mode. The intensity of allergy formation increases because of a higher frequency and intensity of such events.
Practically, the body has a total memory of endless number of events, experiences, odors, tastes, sounds, sights, sensations, which are all categorized in a very sophisticated manner within the person's body-mind system, and to a degree, manage all along the conscious life of the person. Every person lives his own life in this respect, maintaining a balance between his conscious life and the stream of data constantly emanating from the unconscious mind. This balance can deteriorate when unconscious body memories do not feel "happy" facing certain materials like foods, plastic products, wood, metal, rubber, cosmetics, cleaning agents, pets, plants bloom and more, and more. Facing these materials, triggers at once unconscious memories of an old distress and threat to survival. At these moments, the body knows only one way how to deal with this threat; reactivate the immune system, which will boost the body with powerful hormones in order to deal with the threat. The problem is that this protection, which is supposed to be activated only against real invaders, instead, is activated to protect against friendly materials. The immune system does not distinguish between invaders and friendly materials; the only thing that matters is the memory that drives the decision of the immune system to operate. So what can the allergy sufferer do in such conditions? As stated previously, conventional medicine offers two possible approaches: consuming chemicals to counter-effect the allergy symptoms or avoiding those substances that cause allergy (only if the sufferer knows for sure what he is allergic to) or trying to adjust the body to the allergy by gradual exposure to the allergenic substance. These two methods do not resolve the issue and do not cure the person's allergies. They supply temporary relief and/or impose limitations on one's life.

Allergies in adults
It is rare for an adult person to form allergies in his adult life for the first time. Indeed, in many cases, an adult can be experiencing an allergy attack for the first time only in his adult life, but this might be a reintroduction to stressful materials, which he had met initially when he was a child. As a child, he may have experienced difficult events, which he perceived as threatening to his survival. He does not remember these events as intellectually described events, but rather, as a difficult experience, which the body has been repressing. The body remembers the energy, which has connected to the threatening events. It remembers the specific encoded energy of each material that was in close proximity to the body during the stressful event, and as a part of the survival mode "forgets" the events and the associated circumstances, and these become unconscious, without the person remembering anything.

Allergy & genetics
Another interesting point regarding allergy formation is the issue of heredity. We assume that to a large extent allergy formation stems from survival-threatening experiences during childhood, which records the energetic codes of the substances in close proximity to the child. If that is so, why are babies born with allergies? Why do young children have already severe allergies without any apparent alarming experiences that threaten their existence? Well, the simple answer is in genetics. They have inherited these allergies from their ancestors. The ancestors had gone through these survival threatening events during their own childhood, and their DNA had recorded the energy codes of all the substances that were back then in their nearby proximity. This recording takes effect in every cell of the body. The allergy will become a part of the DNA makeup of the ancestor during his own childhood, in the absence of a specific neutralizing therapeutic intervention on the DNA level later on during his adult life. This genetic material is transmitted to his children, they will transfer it to their own children, and so it will be transmitted from one generation to the next.

IPEC Therapy® approach to Allergy
IPEC Therapy® approaches the issue of Allergy from a different point of view than that of conventional medicine. This approach can be compared to the way a computer operates. In principle, a computer operation is based on two central elements; memory and computing. The core system of the computer computes a data typed into it in the past and supplies answers according to present inquiries. The data – the memory – consists of the database typed into the computer. For example, if the data consists of all the products that a certain company is offering for sale, each product is typed in, including specific details for each product, product name, size, color, price, etc. If a potential customer is asking questions about the product, the sales person will be able to answer according to this data. If the price or other detail about the product is changed, this change is typed into the database. Present inquiries will supply updated information if the data is updated in a timely manner.
In the IPEC Therapy® approach, we perceive the person’s body-mind system as a computer. The two elements of memory and computing are there. Indeed, we do not have a keyboard, but we do have a good natural means to get mostly updated information from the person – his soul. This information includes the kind of allergy, its severity, reasons for its origination, whether it can be healed, what is needed for the healing and more.
This important information is stored in the person’s natural computer system. I name this system body-mind. This system knows the answers to these questions and many more, and it will be able to supply us with the information if we just know how to talk with it. Well, we know how to talk to it. In the IPEC Therapy® approach, the therapist is trained to work with the client and to communicate directly with his unconscious mind, to get updated information in real time. In order to understand this communication with the body-mind system, first we should understand the ways in which communication and the transfer of information take place within all parts of the body-mind system.

Communication within the body-mind system
The soul is the center of command in us, this abstract side whose existence is beyond any doubt, although we may not give it much thought. My soul tells me that my name is Uri, I like certain things and despise others, my history includes this and my hobby is that. These are all abstract data, thoughts, and feelings, memories, which feel completely real to us but still, are intangible, and hence, abstract. The soul is not located in any specific place in the body. Many tend to speculate that the soul resides in the brain; others think it is in the heart. I believe that the soul is located in each cell of our body and the whole integration of the 70 trillion cells that make up our body manifests the soul’s existence. The soul constantly gets internal information from the different parts of the nervous system, from the variety of memories, and it gets information externally from people it is in touch with, from the media, using the five senses. This information is constantly computed and leads to decision making. One decision will be to scratch the head. A second decision will be to hold up a book, and a third one will be to buy a car. In order to carry out each of these three decisions, the soul transfers its instructions chemically and electrically to the nervous system, the system that ignites the engine; and what is this engine? The engine is the muscular system. The muscular system is responsible for making us mobile, for creating our mechanical behaviors, for living our life in motion and for functioning the way we do. Without muscles, we would be like a jelly ball, rolling around from place to place, unable to scratch our head, to pick up a book, and definitely, unable to drive up to the car dealer, to test-drive a car we like and complete the necessary paperwork.

The biofeedback of the muscular system
The muscles operate in a simple form: they contract and relax. In order to move an object from point A to point B, we contract our hand around the object at point A, carry it to point B and relax the hand's muscles in order to leave it there. In order to accomplish such a simple operation, the soul gives a series of instructions as far as contractions/relaxations of the muscular system. The soul intends consciously to move the object and by a series of actions manifested by the muscular system it is happening.
The conscious mind is not the only source of commands to the nervous/immune systems. There are many other internal, unconscious sources, which continually and constantly reactivate the nervous/muscular systems. These are by the most part automatic, organized and orderly, running our life smoothly, keeping us healthy and alive (there are around 100,000 automatic operations happening in our body at any given second). Some of the time, due to unexpected encounters, some commands start to conflict with other commands, and this create confusion and disarray in the system, which is manifested in the form of allergy and/or disease. This process takes place when the person comes in touch with certain substances, by ingestion or external touch, and this reactivates past memories of the kind described at the beginning of the article. These memories are constantly operating inwardly, like a system within a system that is capable to form allergies and diseases under certain conditions.
The person cannot describe these phenomena in his own words, using regular language; however, the muscles' language can describe it. The muscular system wraps up the entire body and all its inner organs. Every muscle in our body operates by the contraction/relaxation principle. The will to contract and relax does not come necessarily only from the conscious mind, but in many events, it comes from the unconscious mind, from the side that is fed by painful unconscious memories. The body "talks" with its sub-parts, by logical signal combinations of relaxations and contractions. For example, if a person is allergic to an egg, he is not randomly allergic to other substances, but only to an egg, and if there is an egg by him, the unconscious mind sends painful memory messages that an egg is associated with a pain and difficulty. Those influence the muscular system, and a severe reaction of the immune system releases Histamine to the blood stream to fight the egg invader.
The muscular system works in the form of feedback: it supplies and receives information via combinations of contractions/relaxations. Talking with this system using its language - contractions/relaxations - enables us to gain from this system reliable information in real time about any issue we would like to treat. The muscular system is able to develop a very rich language by expressing unique combinations of contraction/relaxation, and hence, providing up-to-date and reliable information, if the therapist knows how to "talk" this language. As mentioned, the body remembers and knows every event and experience that has ever happened to the person. However, because it is unaware of its environment on the one hand, and of the person that exists within it on the other hand, it cannot connect and communicate with the conscious mind to provide this information.

"Talking" with the body
An IPEC Therapy® therapist knows how to work with the biofeedback of the muscular system, to get the right information concerning what is the body is allergic to and why and how to eliminate it. The therapist knows how to operate a simple but effective non-invasive energy treatment, to neutralize the pain, which stems from early painful memories, to cancel out the need of the unconscious mind to alarm the body about an upcoming dangerous invader, when it is actually a friendly material. Every substance in the universe holds a specific code, like an energetic I.D. In his “talk” with the body, the therapist identifies what this substance is, what kind of conflict it holds with the immune system, and how to severe this connection. In other words, the therapist retrains the body to identify and distinguish between a real invader and a friendly material.
It is important to know that every average person is carrying several allergies, but, in most cases, these are all dormant. The reactions can be minor or even not show up at all when and if these allergies are activated. In the case of those who seriously suffer from allergies, it is most likely that they suffer from multiple allergy attacks to a variety of substances simultaneously. These multiple attacks, when they last for long periods, might deplete the resistance of the immune system and consequently activate more allergies that are dormant. In such cases, the sufferer finds himself in a vicious cycle, which he can rest from by an intense use of anti-histamines, which in return deplete the immune system even more.

Allergy & perception
As mentioned before, the base of most allergy formation is emotional/psychological, or in other words, the person's perception. When a baby or a child is in a situation where he experiences that his existence is under threat, this is a subjective experience, meaning, this is his perception, his interpretation of the situation. This is a critical point to understand regarding the dynamics of allergy formation. It is possible that another baby under the same circumstances will not experience the same threat on his existence. The baby's personal perception will determine if the event has a threat in it or not. There can be a situation where the adults surrounding the baby do not perceive or see any threat about the event, not realizing why the baby should feel threatened by such a "minor" event. Neither the baby nor the adults are right or wrong as far as their interpretations are concerned; this is how the baby experiences the world through his own filters. Since the event is so threatening for the baby, all the sensations, all the parts of the immune system get into action. Along the action, the baby’s organism registers everything about the events, feelings, sensations, sounds, visions, and the energy of any object in close proximity. Since the baby has no language yet, he remembers everything with his body, every perception is stored in every cell of his body.

Mother and her child in the rain
Here is an example of a threat that can lead to allergy formation. Mom is travelling to the mall with her baby and parks a few minutes' walking distance from the mall. After she finishes shopping, on exit, she realizes that it is heavily raining outside and it does not seem to stop soon. She has no umbrella with her and no cover for her baby. Having no other choice, she runs back to her car, pushing the baby's stroller, and they both get soaked wet. The baby is crying all the way back to the car in distress; he is cold, he is wet and mom is angry and frustrated not responding to his distress. He is one year old, and he has no concept of time; for mom, it is only a few minutes until she gets to her car but for him, it feels like eternity. The water is dripping on his face, hanging over his mouth and nose, and he inhales it, almost chocking, crying hysterically, and feeling that his life is in danger. Mom knows that this process is short, but he does not know that. When they arrive to the car mom buckles him up to his seat and tries to relax him but he cannot stop crying. She drives back home, torturing herself with thoughts of why she did not check the weather, and why she did not have spare clothes for him in the car and why and why, emotions that make her even more unavailable for him.
Until they reach back home, such an event can last between fifteen minutes to an hour. This event can leave a deep impression in the baby's soul. When at home, if he keeps crying and feeling distressed, mom maybe tries to relax him with his milk bottle; this bottle, the milk, the plastic, the rubber, become part of the problem. His clothes, the softener and the detergents residue from laundry, which have melted in the rain and many more materials, are becoming part of the problem. Let us forward this baby 20-30 years. He gets into similar circumstances, being caught in heavy rain, far from immediate possibility of getting dry. The body memory can be triggered and he will start to experience distressed breathing like during an Asthma attack, even though he has never had such an attack before, or he can get a very severe migraine headache while he never suffered from migraine headaches before. He might dismiss it as flu due to be so soaking wet, but there are no real flu symptoms, and these symptoms can linger and be with him for a while.
In IPEC Therapy®, this is a situation when old information about the event in the mall 20-30 years prior can become accessible and neutralized in therapy, and consequently, the immune system will not view anymore the components of the milk, rubber, cotton, plastic, softener, detergents and more, as dangerous invaders, hence, no allergy symptoms will present themselves anymore.

Case studies
The therapeutic strength of allergy healing does not cease to impress me up to this day. Years ago, I treated a 7-day-old infant that could not gain weight, without any apparent medical reason. I found him to be allergic to his mother’s milk, and in one treatment, the allergy was gone and he started to ingest his mom's milk and to gain weight. In another case, a mother brought in a one-year-old toddler with a red skin rash all over her body. In treatment, I found out that the mother, who was still breast-feeding the toddler, had suffered an intense traumatic event two weeks prior to the session, and the event kept affecting her severely. The treatment helped the toddler energetically separate from her mom's trauma and the skin rash disappeared in a few hours. The variety of the cases is pretty wide: stubborn vagina secretion eliminated, hay fever, with its multitude of symptoms, completely disappeared, fungal and Candida infections cleared, headaches and migraines cleared, frequent colds and flu cleared, children’s frequent ear infections cleared with no need for ear plugs, asthma attacks, skin problems, alcohol sensitivities, heartburn, successfully treated. There was no more need for avoiding wheat, other grains, corn products, sugars, milk products, wines, nuts and more after successful treatments. Avoiding pets, plants blooming, cosmetics, cleaning products, or a variety of chemicals in home use, became unnecessary following successful treatments.

Summary
In summary, allergies are a phenomenon which consists of a collection of painful and distressing symptoms which, although are a powerful irritation as long as the allergen is present, do not develop to a disease on the one hand, but can become a serious health threat on the other hand, if the allergens overwhelm the immune system. The good news is that there is a fast and efficient natural way to resolve allergies, without the use of medication, without the limitations of having to avoid certain materials or situations and without any potentially painful discussions digging into the past, opening up the possibility of living a full and healthy life free of allergies.
